Frequently Asked Questions

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is where you turn your crazy ideas into real projects. We provide hardware, mentors, fun activities, speakers, workshops, food, friends, and so much more. You take care of hacking; we’ll take care of you.

How do I get there?

The event is partnered with Baker Hughes, however it is at the OSU Endeavor Building.
Address:
215 N Hester St, Stillwater, OK 74078

Do I need a team?

Nope. Teams will be pseudo-randomly assigned. But... you will find out your team a couple days before the event so you can get to know each other.

What can I build?

It will depend on the challeng, but other than than anything your heart desires! We will try to have access to all the hardware technologies you will need. :)

What if I have never coded?

Not a problem. We will do our best to make sure each team has a diverse set of skills, including coding.

Will you provide hardware?

Yes! There’ll be plenty of fun hardware for you to experiment with! We’ll try to put out a list closer to the event so you can see what’s available. Also, feel free to bring your own from home!

I won't be on campus. Can I still participate?

Unfortunately, no. This will be a hands-on challenge. There may be a virtual component to a solution, but a physical prescence is required.

Who can attend?

You are eligible to attend if you're an OSU Undergraduate or Graduata Student.
